My youngest has been a passionate defender of the underdogs of society for her entire life. She’s 24 now, and is not afraid to stand up against injustice. Sometimes she gets into battles with people less open minded. I try to caution her to pick and choose her battles so as to not get hurt, but she just tells me, “What kind of advocate would I be if I’m only and advocate when it’s convenient for me.” My girl is so wise.
