Interesting how different our countries are with regard to our profession. I've never heard of the terms junior, senior, or band 5 before. I was a physiotherapist in Canada for 37 years before injuries forced me to quit. Part of my degree was 3 months of interning each summer, May, June, and July. we got August off. Each month was at a different hospital, in a different area, ie rotation. I did burns, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, outpatients, respiratory, cardiac, etc. The only thing I wanted, since I first started, was to be a manual therapist. Which was what I specialized in after my first year. It's so nice to hear that students have the option to not work through all these rotations, (in your area at least.)
