51 queries, 14 fulls, 9 partials, one R&R, many, many wonderful compliments on my writing, my characters and their authentic relationships, and the premise and voice. But so far, out of those I have only 3 fulls and 1 partial still out, and that R&R is sitting waiting for me to consider it, because it means a complete rewrite. Your words resonated so much, because that agent wants me to take out the magical element and make the story purely contemporary. Because none of those 24 requests, who love what I’m writing, have any idea where to place the story in the market place. So dare to be different, just not too…different.
